Spring turkey season is one of my favorite hunts. I love how smart the turkeys and the challenge they can give you at times. I love hearing and watching nature waking up for the day. It is the best time of the year.
I live in Wisconsin, so I still have to wait until April 19th before I will be able to go hunting for turkeys. I hoping this year to shoot a nice tom but if all I get is a jack I'll be happy with that as well. Can't get to picky when you are putting food on the table.
I wouldn't mind shooting a breaded hen, if one came close enough for me to shoot. I think it would be pretty cool and I can say I shot one. There has only been a couple of times that I have seen a breaded hen and I have been turkey hunting since the age of 12.
Would you shoot a breaded hen, if one came in?
