If you couldn't figure out what kind of duck it is, well it is a Falcated Teal. The Falcated Teal are from Eastern Asia. They are about the size of the Gadwell and the American Wigeon, but have a heavier-bodied and a larger-headed appearance. Of course pictured above is a male Falcated Teal with the iridescent green and coppery toned head. Isn't it a beautiful bird? The female's are similar to the female wigeon but plainer with a black bill.
I wouldn't mind shooting one of these and getting it mounted for my wall and having the colors come through.
